Hey Guys,
Here's what I've got for our page on Educational Videos... if you turned in a DVD and can post your video online, do it! If it's online I can grab a screen shot of it and publish it in our book. Here's what your pictures would look like:

Looking for contributors from Project Science '09 - '10
Here's a shot of what I've put together for the Sand Crab Project page. You're looking at the layout for two pages in our book.
I'd like a student to write a reflection about the Sand Crab Project... not a step-by-step description but a little essay about something that stood out to you about the experience. Maybe it was digging for the mole crabs or maybe you learned something new about sand beach ecosystems. If you've got an idea, email me (john@paddlesurf.net) and let me know.... or just write it and email it to me.
Get yourself in the Log, be a contributor!

A couple more screen shots from our book!
Here's a couple more of the preview pages for our class book (which includes the Seashore Guide)... we've got some great submissions by Project Science students.
Photo: Christina Perez wrote a nice little piece about her favorite memory from the CELP trip.
Photo: Here's a blank page... anybody want to fill this one in?

Imperial Beach Seashore Guide: In progress
Guess how I'm spending my Spring Break? That's right, laying out the Project Science Log 2009 - 2010 (formerly known as the Imperial Beach Sea Shore Guide). This is the book project that we started way back in October, I've renamed it the Project Science Log and it will cover not only the Imperial Beach Sea Shore Guide project but will also describe the other major projects we've undertaken this year. Check out this screen snapshot of the project being laid out at www.fastpencil.com:
This will give you an idea of how the book is being constructed. I will be recruiting students to write descriptions for certain parts of the Log, those students will have their names added to the book as editors and will then be able to take credit for helping to publish a book!
If you're one of my students and would like to write a page about one of our projects (Sand Crab Research Project, Imperial Beach Seashore Guide etc.), contact me by email: john@paddlesurf.net.

Project Science Educational Videos... funny stuff!
Here's a couple of shots from our third major project of the year, educational videos:
Photo: Priscilla holds up the cue cards with the script that her group wrote... something about pressure and little red balls?
Photo: The film crew at work... quiet on the set!
Photo: The magic of makeup! Or maybe we just got creative with some tape and construction paper.
